FTSE's benchmark methodology
FTSE uses clear rules that are publicly available and which govern index management. FTSE’s independent committees ensure that all FTSE indices reflect their underlying market and that the ground rules evolve to meet the highest standards of the industry. All FTSE equity indices are designed to ensure sufficient liquidity in their underlying stocks and all constituents are free-float adjusted, to reflect the actual availability of stock in the market for public investment.
